From summer barbeques to holiday gatherings, dips can be a reliable—and sometimes underrated—staple of any event. And when you’re incorporating Member’s Mark Fresh Salsa into your dip recipe, you’re sure to have a crowd-pleaser. Below are five mouthwatering dip recipes that make salsa the star of the show.

Layered Nacho Dip

This hearty dip takes advantage of taco ingredients to create all the flavors you love in a chip-sized serving. It doesn’t require an oven or stove and can be easily assembled in just 10 to 15 minutes and chilled for up to 48 hours before serving.

And as a bonus, it’s almost endlessly customizable:

  • If you’re not a fan of sour cream, you can substitute cream cheese, yogurt, or Mexican crema.
  • Substitute rinsed and drained black beans for refried beans to add fiber.
  • Add diced bell peppers, jalapenos, corn, or other vegetables to the green onion layer add some additional texture and taste.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups sour cream (or 12-oz container)
  • 1 jar Member’s Mark Fresh Salsa
  • 2 bunches of green onions, chopped (with some reserved for garnish)
  • 2 cups of finely grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups of finely grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 can of refried beans
  • 2 medium avocados
  • 3 tbsp taco seasoning
  • ½ cup black olives or chopped tomatoes

Preparation

In a small bowl, beat together the sour cream and taco seasoning. In a separate bowl, mash the avocado into a guacamole-like consistency. If you’d like, you can sprinkle a bit of taco seasoning in the avocado too!

Next, spread the refried beans in a thin layer (about ½ inch or less) on the bottom of a 9×13 casserole dish. Next, spread a layer of the spiced sour cream over the refried beans; spread the salsa over the sour cream; and spread the avocado mixture over the salsa. Top the avocado mixture with chopped green onions and chopped tomatoes or black olives, then sprinkle the finely-shredded cheddar cheese on top. If you’d like, you can sprinkle a few additional green onions on top of the dip.

Cover the dip in foil and refrigerate until it’s ready to be served. Serve with chips, bell pepper strips, or whatever else you’d like to dip!

Creamy Salsa Bean Dip

This bean dip hits all the right notes—creamy, hearty, and just a little spicy (thanks to the salsa). If you’d like your dip to have a bit more texture, add in chopped green onions, bell peppers, diced tomatoes, or sliced black olives.

Ingredients

  • 1 16-ounce can of refried beans
  • 1 jar Member’s Mark Fresh Salsa
  • ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Tortilla chips (for dipping)

Preparation

Combine the refried beans, salsa, cheese, sour cream, and spices in a large bowl, then transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for at least two hours or until fully heated through.

If you’d prefer to bake this dip in the oven, just transfer the mixture into a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees until hot and bubbly, usually 20 to 30 minutes. (Sprinkle some cheese on top of the dip after about 10 minutes to make it extra creamy!)

You can also prepare this dip in the microwave by heating it for 5-6 minutes, pausing every 2 minutes to stir.

  • 1 jar Member’s Mark Fresh Salsa

  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups Member’s Mark Fresh Salsa
